To express solidarity with the people of India during a time of extreme hardship, Classical Movements’ founder and president Neeta Helms reached out to a number of Indian-American musicians to put together a concert in tribute to the people of India. The South Asian Symphony Foundation was thrilled to see members of SASO - Dilshad Billimoria Posnock (flute), Priyanka Venkatesh (violin), and Rohan Ramanan (English horn) participate.
“Concert for India: a Tribute by Indian-American Musicians” premiered on Classical Movements’ YouTube channel on the 6th of May.
The concert was a heartfelt expression of compassion and empathy for the suffering that so many millions are now experiencing. Each piece in the program was an offering of love, with the hope of finding some solace in the beauty of music.
